Welcome to the Tanalan language notebook. This is an illustrated A4 sized book for the language learner which can be used for any language. Its purpose is to provide a destination for all language notes, whilst providing stimulation to the learner with relevant pictures. Tickboxes enable the learner to check that newly acquired vocabulary is turned into active knowledge.

From the designer:
When I was living in Budapest and studying Hungarian, I came to realise that although I diligently took notes, they were not organised, sometimes I mislaid them, and I often derived very little benefit from them. It was time for me to devise a more productive method for language note-taking! This book is the result. It focuses on real situations and the most likely conversation scenarios. If you have skimmed through the book you'll have noticed the absence of words, but I'm confident you will soon rectify that. Whatever language you are studying or speak as your own, this same workbook can be used. You probably have enough textbooks already. I hope you'll find this workbook is more useful to you than any of them. My best wishes to you on your new language adventure. Mark Fraser
